nVidia 고해상도 지원 방법

  • 본 문서는 nVidia 그래픽 카드 설정 도구에서 사용하는 모니터가 지원하는 해상도 값 보다 낮은 해상도만 보일 경우 이를 해결하는 방법을 알려드리는 문서입니다.

  • 본 문서대로 진행하기 전에 반드시 설정 값 기록 오류의 문서에 제시하는 대로 nVidia 설정 도구가 인식할 수 있는 Xorg 설정으로 적용하셔야 합니다.

  • nVidia 설정 도구가 저장한 설정 파일을 엽니다

    $ sudo vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf

  • "Monitor" 섹션의 아래에 해당하는 항목을 찾습니다.

    HorizSync       28.0 - 55.0
VertRefresh     43.0 - 72.0

  • 설정 된 값을 아래와 같이 수정합니다.((아래의 설정값은 일반적인 권장 값이며 본인이 사용하는 모니터가 더 높은 주사율을 지원할 경우 그에 맞추어 바꿔주시면 됩니다))

    HorizSync       30.0 - 81.0
VertRefresh     56.0 - 75.0

  • X 서버를 재 시작 합니다. 또는 재부팅 하셔도 됩니다.

    Ctrl+Alt+F2를 누르셔서 콘솔창에서 로그인 하신 뒤
$ sudo service gdm restart

Nvidia 설정 도구 설정 값 유지

  • Nvidia X System Settings 도구의 설정 값을 유지하는 방법입니다.

  1. 현재 Xorg의 설정 값 백업

    $ sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.org
$ sudo touch /etc/X11/xorg.conf

  2. 새로 만든 빈 설정파일에 Nvidia 설정 도구가 인식하는 기본 설정 값 넣기

    Section "Device"
    Identifier     "Configured Video Device"
    Driver         "nvidia"
EndSection

  3. Nvidia 설정도구 실행

    $ sudo nvidia-settings

  4. 위 방법 대로 진행하시면 설정 도구에서 설정 값 저장이 가능합니다.
